The agricultural supply chain is vast and varied. Many crops and wild-caught foods begin in places with limited food safety and traceability standards as in most of Africa. Awade Technologies leveraging on Blockchain can turn these far-reaching, opaque supply chains more transparent — illuminating farm origins, ensuring that farmers receive fair pay. 

Despite the countless tech advances since agricultures origin, the early links of our food supply chain remain paramount to civilization. And yet, the farm-to-fork line is often far-reaching and obscure. Across the world, farmers face diverse sets of challenges. One of these challenges is that third-party intermediaries often take a disproportionate share of profits.

Traceability requires several companies to collaborate and send event data about their batches. TRUVAGRO’s Awade Tech  enables us to successfully implem=ent traceability even if there are smallholder farms and global corporations within the same supply chain.

TRUVAGRO has introduced a smart contracting model under its Awade Technologies Platform which connects smallholder farmers directly to the market. Smart contracts are simply programs stored on a blockchain that run when predetermined conditions are met. They typically are used to automate the execution of an agreement so that all participants can be immediately certain of the outcome, without any intermediary’s involvement or time loss.

Digitizing Products and Assets – In a bid to enhance traceability, transparency and engagement, TRUVAGRO’s Awade Technologies enables us to print serialized QR codes during packaging.
